Translations

My core competences include translations in the languages English-German, Spanish-German and Italian-German.

In addition to translating general texts I specialise in the following fields:

Softwares

Constantly increasing translation volumes as well as a large number of different file formats call for an efficient translation process.

This is why I use modern translation software, such as SDL Trados Studio and Across, which allows smooth and trouble-free editing and processing of all the established file formats including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, RTF, HTML, XML, SGML, etc.

Moreover, I use translation memory systems (bilingual translation databases) in order to increase the stylistic and linguistic consistency and hence the quality of the translations. The increased effectiveness gained by these systems also contributes to reducing the costs for the translation process.

Prices

The prices for translations are calculated depending on the type, volume and difficulty of the texts. I offer the two most common billing models:

Billing according to the number of words in the source text
This billing method makes particular sense for you if the documents you would like to have translated include repetitions of the same or similar sections of text. An exact analysis of the number of words in the source text means that you will already be given a detailed specification of the costs when you place your order.

Billing according to the number of standard lines in the target text
Of course I also offer the standard billing method in Austria and Germany which is based on the number of lines in the target text;
a standard line consists of 55 strokes including spaces.

Further fields and languages

At [sai]translations I have a network of highly qualified technical translators in Austria and abroad. If requested, I can therefore also offer translations in other specialist fields and into other languages.

As a matter of principle, your texts will be translated into a foreign language by qualified and specialised native speakers who ensure optimum linguisitic quality and correctness.
